Palestine Joins Special Data Dissemination Standard

RAMALLAH, April 23, 2012 (WAFA) – Palestine has become a member of the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS), Prime Minister Salam Fayyad announced Monday.

SDDS is an International Monetary Fund (IMF) standard to guide member countries in the dissemination of national statistics to the public.

A total of 70 states are members of the SDDS, including only four Arab countries, added Fayyad.

Palestine’s membership in SDDS indicates the maturity of the Palestinian Authority institutions, matching the performance of the elite IMF member states, added Fayayd in his press statement.
