JENIN, April 22, 2012 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians Sunday suffered from suffocation due to gas inhalation after Israeli soldiers fired tear gas inside Palestinian houses in Fahmah, a village south of Jenin, according to security sources.
They told WAFA that clashes erupted between the soldiers and some youth in the village, following the Israeli attack on the residents. The youth threw stones, to which soldiers responded with firing tear gas canisters at them.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers raided the nearby towns of Arraba and Kafr Ra'i, as well as put up a flying checkpoint south of Jenin, searched Palestinian vehicles and checked the passengers’ identification papers.
No arrests were reported.
