RAMALLAH, April 21, 2012 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday discussed his letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with US peace envoy David Hale in Ramallah, according to presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh.

He said the Palestinian leadership is expecting the Israeli response to Abbas’ letter within two weeks, adding that a positive response will prompt movement in the peace process in the right direction.

PLO Executive Committee member Saeb Erekat delivered Abbas’ letter to Netanyahu on Tuesday. The letter discussed several issues, including settlement activities, peace references, and the prisoners’ issue.
