The course, which was conducted by an international expert, Detective Superintendent Christopher Sharman from Northumbria Police in the UK assisted by Chris Machell from EUPOLCOPPS, showed the trainees a lot of theoretical material on interviewing techniques that meet international standards.
The trainers showed the participants a video clip of a robbery and murder and asked them to interview suspects and witnesses ethically in order to gather relevant information. The attendees, representing the 11 West Bank districts, also performed role play exercises.
