RAMALLAH, February 6, 2012 (WAFA) - The overall Quantity of Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestinian Territory reached108.7 in December 2011, an increase by 6.8% compared to November 2011, Monday said a report by (PCBS).

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics’ report said the quantity of IPI for December 2011 increased due to the increase in manufacturing by 8.7% and water supply and electricity industry by 2.4% compared to the previous month, both groups formed a share of 80.5% and 14.9% of the total industry respectively.

However, mining and quarrying industry decreased by 5.7% during December 2011 compared to the previous month which has a share of 4.6% from the total industry.
