RAMALLAH, January 5, 2012 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies Thursday reported on the meeting between Palestinian and Israeli negotiators in Jordan and the Israeli decision to confiscate over 1161 dunums of land northwest of Jerusalem to re-route the Apartheid Wall.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida and al-Ayyam reported on the meeting, which took place in Amman between Palestinian and Israeli negotiators, quoting presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh as saying that the Palestinians will exert every effort to resume negotiations and that these efforts will continue until the end of this month.
Al-Ayyam also used Abu Rudeineh’s quotes on its front page saying that the meetings between Palestinian and Israeli negotiators will continue until the end of January.
Al-Quds front page story highlighted the Israeli decision to confiscate 1161 dunums of land that belongs to Palestinian villages northwest of Jerusalem to re-route the Apartheid Wall established on their land.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida and al-Ayyam printed photos of the celebration marking the launch of Fatah movement, which was held in Ramallah on Wednesday.
Al-Hayat reported on two Israeli organizations saying that Israeli government plans to allocate land to establish national parks in Jerusalem aim to limit urban growth of the Palestinian neighborhoods in East Jerusalem.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida and al-Ayyam focused on the Israeli authorities’ latest measures in al-Aqsa Mosque when Israel installed surveillance cameras to monitor movement and activities inside the Mosque’s courtyards.
