RAMALLAH, April 20, 2010 (WAFA)- EUPOL COPPS provides logistics advice to the Logistics Offices of the PCP at both, District and HQ levels with the aim of helping the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) to build up a sustainable logistics and financial managerial capabilities.
In this context, EUPOL COPPS’ Financial, Procurement and Logistics Adviser, Mr Tomás Fernández SUÁREZ, is coordinating the construction of three logistics compounds for the PCP in Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron. Every logistics compound will include a light vehicle maintenance workshop; one IT and Communication workshop and one Central Warehouse. This project is funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID).
Today, Monday 19th April, Mr Fernández Suárez met with Major Khalid TAMIMI, Bethlehem District Commander; Major Walid Ramadan, PCP Deputy Head of Logistics and Major Khaled Khderat, Head of Logistics at the Bethlehem District Police HQ.
The aim of the meeting was to provide logistics and financial advice to the Bethlehem District Police HQ by identifying the major logistics/financial gaps needed to be implemented. This visit was paid under the scope of a regular district visits with the purpose to gain a more comprehensive view of the PCP needs at District level to better support them in achieving a sustainable implementation of the PCP logistics and financial capabilities.
