JERUSALEM, March 20, 2010 (WAFA)- Fateh’s Revolutionary Council Member Dimitri Diliani, said today that the Palestinian people will adhere to non-violent resistance to further reveal the violent nature of the State of Israel and the terrorist actions committed by colonial settler groups that operates under the guardianship of its right wing extremist government.
Diliani’s statement came shortly after Israeli extremist colonial settler groups burned tens of vehicles belonging to Palestinian residents of Occupied East Jerusalem. He blamed Israeli police for not protecting Palestinian residents of the city, holding the occupying power responsible for the safety of the Jerusalemites according to the International Law.
Diliani considered, the Israeli mass arrests in Jerusalem that followed the non-violent protests in the city last week ,along with Israel’s bombing of civilians in Gaza, the restriction of Muslim and Christian rights to visit holy places and the continuation of illegal colonial settlement activities in Occupied East Jerusalem, as provocative measures of brutal nature to drag the Palestinian people into violent reaction.
“Israeli interest in Palestinian violent reaction,” he added, “stems from the fact that it will provide its extremist government with a “political cover” to continue the execution of its illegal expansionist plans in the West Bank including Occupied East Jerusalem, and will grant it an immunity from further international criticism for its continuous violation of Palestinian rights and International Law.”
“We are very much aware of Israeli traps set before us and we will not fall into the mistakes of the past,” he said “we will stick to non-violence and let Israeli drawn in its anti-peace violent policies adopted by its right wing extremist government and the terrorist colonial settler groups the lead it into international isolation.”
