In a statement to al-Ayyam newspaper, Head of PLO Negotiation Department Saeb Ereikat said that we asked the American Administration to intervene to forbid a military operation on the Gaza Strip, pointing out that Egypt has been exerting efforts to maintain calm in the Gaza Strip.
