BETHLEHEM, May 21, 2008 (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed that security and economy is the path for peace, adding other than that frustration, extremism and devastation would prevail.
In the opening Palestine Investment Conference in Bethlehem on Wednesday, President said that the final status issues are being under discussion with the Israeli sides, hoping no delay on any issue.
'The comprehensive development in Palestine will face many obstacles until ending the occupation and establishing a viable and independent Palestinian state,' President Abbas said.
President welcomed the agreement on Lebanon, hoping to be a corner stone for new era in prosperous Lebanon.
President also welcomed the news on serious negotiations between Syria and Israel, hoping the two sides reaching a good peaceful solution.
President hoped to reach a Palestinian- Palestinian deal if they retreat from the coup and accept the international legitimacy and then we ready to go to early legislative and Presidential elections.
