SHARM EL-SHEIKH, May 18, 2008, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas met on Sunday with the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk in Sharm El-Sheikh resort.

President briefed his counterpart on the process of negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides and exerted efforts to push it forward as well as situation in the Palestinian territory due to the continued Israeli occupation.

President thanked republic of Slovania for its continued support and solidarity with the Palestinian cause and Palestinian people to achieve his legitimate rights and establish the independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
