RAMALLAH, May 11, 2008, (WAFA)-Fateh Central Committee affirmed on Sunday the continuity to activate and develop the PLO, the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
In its meeting chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas, Central Committee stressed the necessity for all Palestinian factions to be responsible and deal honesty with the Egyptian efforts to achieve calm in the Gaza Strip as an attempt to stop Israeli aggressions, lift siege and open crossings so as to elevate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
It reiterated the firm stances of Fateh Movement regarding negotiations , the peace process and a two-state solution, condemning the Israeli procrastination and the continuity of building settlements and not abiding by Annapolis conference as well as its maneuvers towards Jerusalem, refugees, borders and releasing of prisoners.

The Central Committee affirmed its cling to the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and the complete withdrawal from all Arab and Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, including al-Quds al-Shareef, adding that settlement is null and illegal and stressing the right of return according to the UN resolution 194.
