Tulkarem Oldest Prisoner Mansour, on Palestinian Prisoner' Day, Looks forward to Freedom after 23 Years behind Israeli Bars

 

 

TULKAREM, April 17, 2008, (WAFA) - The Palestinian prisoner's day comes this year while the prisoner Mohammed Mansour, from Tulkarem city of the West Bank, has been confined behind Israeli bars for 23 years awaiting freedom one day.

 

Mansour is the oldest prisoner from Tulkarem and number 15 on the level of the whole prisoners. He lies currently in Israeli jail of 'Rimon' for two years. He was arrested in 1985 after he was handed over a demand to meet the Israeli intelligence in Tulkarem. He was sentenced to 25 years.

 

Arrest deprived him from seeing his brother, Ibrahim, off. His father died in 1994 and in 2001, his mother died with out seeing her off too.

 

238 days are left for Mansour to be released. His family impatiently waits such a day.
