CAIRO, January 30, 2008 (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday that we are ready to receive the Gaza Strip crossings, on condition of the application of the relative international conventions between us ,Egypt , Israel ,America and the European Union.

Following his meeting with President Husni Mubarak in Cairo, President Abbas told reporters that talks with his counterpart tackled the outcomes of his recent meetings with the Israeli officials and the issue of negotiations.

President also explained that they discussed the Egyptian-Palestinian cooperation as well the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip and the cross of the Egyptian borders, adding that the clear position of President Mubarak is to assist the Palestinians who poured into Egyptian territory from the Gaza Strip and providing assistance to them.
