Weather forecast: Mostly clear, mild conditions

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, March 16, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear and mild in daytime and partially cloudy and relatively cold in nighttime with a rise in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate westerly to southwesterly wind prevails. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 9°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 19°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A low pressure is set to affect the region on Tuesday, causing temperature to plummet and paving the way to partially cloudy to cloudy, cold to very cold and occasionally dusty conditions. Scattered rainfall are expected in the afternoon and night hours.

Wednesday’s temperature is set to further significantly drop, paving the way to cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered rainfall continue on several districts.

Thursday’s temperature is set to remain unseasonably low, with partially cloudy to cloudy and very cold conditions. Scattered rainfall are still expected on most districts.

PMD warns people against gusty winds which could reach 80 km/h and floods in flood-prone areas.
