HEBRON, Monday, January 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers attacked on Monday Palestinians in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank, according to a local source.
The coordinator of the Popular Committees against the Wall and Settlements in the south of Hebron, Rateb Jabour, told WAFA that a number of Israeli settlers beat up unarmed farmers leading to a fight between them that left a number of farmers with bruises.
He said the settlers, operating under the protection of the Israeli forces, placed signs on the land to expand their illegal settlement and reached tents and caves where several Palestinian families live.
The settlers provoked the local residents who attempted to stop them and force them off their land. The army intervened, said Jabour, in support of the settlers.
