Seven Palestinian killed in Israeli attack on Gaza laid to rest

KHAN YOUNIS, Monday, November 12, 2018 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday were laid to rest on Monday in funerals attended by thousands of people, according to WAFA correspondent.

The seven were killed when Israeli jets attacked them as they engaged in a gun battle an undercover Israeli army force that infiltrated the southern Gaza borders near Khan Younis in a mission apparently to either assassinate or abduct Hamas fighters.

Israel sent its air force to secure the escape of the unit after its members were discovered and attacked by the Palestinian fighters resulting in the killing of the seven Palestinians. An Israeli army officer was also killed and another one seriously injured from the Palestinian gunfire.

The funeral of the seven, all from Khan Younis, started from the Gaza European Hospital in the city, passed through their homes before they were buried in the Martyrs’ Cemetery east of Khan Younis amidst calls for revenge from Israel.
