JERUSALEM/HEBRON, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 (WAFA) – In after midnight raids of different Palestinian areas, one in Jerusalem and the others in Hebron in the south of the West Bank, several Palestinian civilians were hurt from broken glass and inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli forces, local and activists said.
In the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiyeh, local sources said a woman was injured in the eye from glass when a rubber bullet fired by Israeli forces broke her car window.
They said the forces attacked residents of the neighborhood near a local mosque and beat some of them while firing rubber bullets and teargas at random in the area causing suffocation and injuries.
They also raided a local house and prevented its residents from entering or leaving it.
In Beit Ummar, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, soldiers raided a house in the town and as they were leaving it, residents clashed with them with stones, according to Mohammad Awad, a local activist.
The soldiers fired teargas and rubber bullets at the residents causing suffocation and injuries.
Similar raids and attacks on Palestinian civilians were reported last night in two Hebron city neighborhoods, said sources.
