Israeli army detains 12 Palestinians in West Bank, Jerusalem

 

HEBRON, January 21, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities detained 12 Palestinians, including minors, on Sunday in the West Bank districts of Hebron, Bethlehem and Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.

Israeli army detained eight Palestinians, including two minors aged 15, after raiding and searching their homes in Hebron.

In Bethlehem, forces detained three Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes; a twenty two-year-old Palestinian was detained in Taqou’ town, in addition to two others from Battir town to the west.

Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Israeli police detained a guard who works in Al-Aqsa Mosque and transferred him to an interrogation center.

Firas al-Dibs, media coordinator in the Department of Islamic Awqaf in occupied Jerusalem, said no reason was given for the guard’s arrest.
