RAMALLAH, Monday, June 03, 2019 (WAFA) – Hot conditions prevail today with a slight rise in temperature, which approaches 5°C to above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly, light to moderate and active at times. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected for Tuesday, yet temperature is expected to slightly drop on Wednesday and remains above annual average by 4°C.
Temperature drops further on Thursday setting back to 3°C above seasonal average.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for a long period, particularly from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and against setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
