RAMALLAH, July 27, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas ordered the Palestinian embassy in Cairo to follow up on the food poisoning case of 18 Palestinians while on a trip to Sharm al-Sheikh resort in the Sinai, and to make arrangement to bring home a child who has died from the food poisoning.
A press statement by the Palestinian embassy in Cairo said Ambassador Diab al-Louh is taking the legal and administrative steps to bring the body of Talia Khalidi, 8, from Jalazoun refugee camp near Ramallah for burial at home once an autopsy is done on her.
He will also follow on the situation of the 18 other Palestinians who were getting treatment at Sharm hospital from food poisoning. All were reported in stable condition except a child who was still in the intensive care unit.
