RAMALLAH, July 26, 2018 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings increased by 0.04% in the West Bank during June compared with May and CCI for non-residential buildings also increased by 0.03%, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.
However, CCI for skeleton buildings decrease by 0.07% for the same period.
The increase in CCI for residential buildings was due to the slight increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.07%, while labor wages decreased by 0.19% and rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.03%.
The increase in CCI for non-residential buildings was due to the slight increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.05%, while labor wages decreased by 0.19% and rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.04%, said the PCBS.
CCI for skeleton buildings slightly decreased due to the decrease in labor wages by 0.23% as well as the slight decrease in both rental of equipment by 0.06% and the prices of raw materials by 0.04%.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) increased by 1.25% in the West Bank during June compared with May due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 2.02%, operating costs of equipment and maintenance by 1.26% and rental of equipment by 0.57%, while labor wages decreased by 1.14%, said PCBS.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) increased by 0.41%, Water Networks Cost Index increased by 0.55%, and Water Reservoirs Cost Index increased by 0.09% during June compared with the previous month.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) also increased by 0.35% during the same period.
