RAMALLAH/GAZA, June 9, 2018 (WAFA) – A total of 135 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since the start of the March of Return protests on March 30, according to the latest statistics by the Ministry of Health.
Out of the 135, a total of 127 were killed in the Gaza Strip protests, including the four shot and killed on Friday, it said.
In addition, said the ministry, 14,700 casualties with different injuries and gas suffocation were recorded in the Gaza Strip protests since March 30.
Data on the last Friday protests in Gaza showed that in addition to the four killed, 618 were wounded and suffered from gas suffocation including 48 children and 20 women.
As for severity in injuries, the ministry said one is very critical, 8 serious, 125 medium and 120 minor.
Cause of injuries: 117 live ammunition, 21 shrapnel, 56 other injuries and 60 from gas.
Location of injury in the body: 10 in the neck and head, 23 in the upper limbs, 10 in the back and chest, 8 in the abdomen and pelvis, 122 in the lower limbs, 60 from inhaling gas and 21 in multiple places.
The ministry said that two paramedics were injured with live ammunition and gas suffocation on Friday, an ambulance was partially damaged and five journalists were injured.
