Israeli army raids Nablus, clashes erupt, Palestinians wounded

 

NABLUS, June 7, 2018 (WAFA) – An Israeli army force raided early Thursday several neighborhoods in the northern West Bank city of Nablus to arrest activists prompting clashes with local residents leading to several injuries, according to Palestinian security sources.

They told WAFA that residents threw rocks and bottles at the soldiers, who fired back live and rubber-coated metal bullets injuring eight Palestinians, one of them, 20-year-old Midian Daoud, reported in critical condition after he was shot by a live bullet in the chest.

The remaining seven were injured by rubber bullets, mostly hit in the head, face and chest. All were admitted to hospital.

The army detained two Palestinians before leaving the city, said the sources.
