PARIS, June 6, 2018 (WAFA) – The Palestinian diplomatic mission to France denied on Wednesday statements an Israeli TV channel attributed to Ambassador Salman Hirfy concerning the March of Return protests in Gaza.

The Israeli Channel 10 claimed that Hirfy told a French official that Iran was financing the Gaza protests.

"Ambassador Hirfy did not talk to any French or foreign official regarding financing the March of Return protests," said the mission in a statement. "These reports are baseless and nothing more than another lie in a series of lies by the Israeli media."

It said the ambassador‘s position on the protests, which are known to all, is the same as the official Palestinian position which says that the March of Return came to remind the world of the right of six million Palestinians who are still living in exile to return to the homes they were forced out from 70 years ago as came in United Nations General Assembly resolution 194.
