RAMALLAH, June 4, 2018 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah discussed on Monday during a meeting with new head of China’s Representative Office to the Palestinian Authority, Guo Wei, the latest political developments and ways of cooperation between their two countries.
While stressing the importance of the strong relations between China and Palestine, Hamdallah discussed the construction of a power generating station in Bani Naim and an industrial area in Tarqoumia, in the south of the West Bank, as well as many other project financed by China that could contribute to strengthening trade between them.
The prime minister also invited Chinese businessmen to invest in Palestine.
Hamdallah stressed the importance of China supporting the peace initiative of President Mahmoud Abbas that calls for holding an international peace conference to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He called on China to be one of the main sponsors of this conference that would lead to a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian issue, an end to the Israeli occupation and would lead to the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
