Israeli settlers open fire in vicinity of elementary school near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, June 4, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli Jewish settlers Monday opened fire in the vicinity of an elementary school in the Bethlehem district, causing panic among children but not injuries, according to Hasan Breijia, an activist with the anti-wall, anti-settlement committee in Bethlehem.

He told WAFA that a group of settlers approached al-Tahadi School 5 in the area of Beit Taamer, to the east of the city of Bethlehem, while workers were opening a road to facilitate movement of the students and opened fire in the air terrorizing the children.

Breijia described this as an act of bullying aiming to terrorize and scare residents of that area, especially that the settlers are against establishing the school, which Israel demolished many times before and Palestinians had rebuilt.
