RAMALLAH, June 2, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday congratulated his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella on the occasion of Italy‘s National Day.

The President stressed in his letter that was delivered to the Italian Consul General in Jerusalem, Fabio Sokolowicz, the deep bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the keenness of Palestine to consolidate friendship and common coordination for the benefit of both peoples, and the two friendly countries.

President Abbas also congratulated the new Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, on the occasion of assuming of office and the formation of the new Italian government.

The President also expressed his warm wishes for the success of this government in the way to enhance the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
