RAMALLAH, May 28, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday detained at least 24 Palestinians, mostly from Amari refugee camp in Ramallah, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Israeli forces conducted a predawn raid into Amari refugee camp, north of Ramallah, where troops ransacked homes while searching them for the suspect in the killing of a soldier who died on Saturday from injuries sustained from a rock that fell on his head during a similar raid at the camp.
During the raid which triggered violent clashes, forces detained 15 Palestinians, including two fathers and their sons and two brothers.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided Beit Sahour city, east of Bethlehem, detaining a Palestinian after breaking into and ransacking his family home.
PPS said that another Palestinian was detained from the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem. The detainee reportedly had spent a total of 18 years in Israeli jails.
Another Palestinian was detained from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.
In the meantime, Israeli troops conducted several raids across Tulkarm district, where they detained three Palestinians.
PPS also said police detained three Palestinians during a raid into the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya.
