RAMALLAH, May 27, 2018 (WAFA) - Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) conveyed the Palestinian people and leadership’s gratitude for Angola‘s position after firing diplomats for attending the inauguration events of the US embassy without their countries’ consent.

In an article published in Portuguese in Jornal de Angola daily newspaper, Erekat thanked Angola for its position and affirmed the depth of historical relations that ties between Palestine and African countries in their joint struggle against the colonial regimes.

Erekat praised the historical and moral support that Palestine enjoys from African countries on the basis of shared values including freedom and the right to self-determination.
