Israeli forces injure three Palestinians in Nablus raid

NABLUS, May 24, 2018 (WAFA) – Three Palestinians were Thursday injured by Israeli forces in a predawn raid into the northern West Bank city of Nablus, said security sources.

Israeli forces raided the eastern part of Nablus, including Balata refugee camp, triggering confrontations with local youths who protested the raid and attempted to block the army passage.

Israeli forces used rubber-coated steel bullets to disperse protestors, injuring two Palestinians in the head, while a military vehicle reportedly ran over a protestor during the confrontations, fracturing his left leg.

The three injuries were rushed to a hospital in Nablus for treatment.

The Israeli military frequently conducts sweeping overnight raids across the West Bank purportedly looking for “wanted” Palestinians.
