RAMALLAH, May 24, 2018 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings increase by 0.01% in the West Bank during April compared with March, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.
The slight increase in CCI for residential buildings was due to the slight increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.01%. At the same time, both rental of equipment and labor wages remained stable during April compared with the previous month.
CCI for non-residential buildings slightly decreased by 0.01% in the West Bank during April compared with March due to the slight decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.02%, while at the same time both rental of equipment and labor wages remained stable.
CCI for skeleton buildings also slightly decreased by 0.01% in the West Bank during April compared with March due to the slight decrease in rental of equipment by 0.05%, while at the same time both the prices of raw materials and labor wages remained stable
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) decreased by 0.51% in the West Bank during April compared with March due to the decrease in rental of equipment by 1.04%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.53%. At the same time, both operating costs of equipment and maintenance and labor wages remained stable during April 2018 compared with the previous month.
The overall Water Networks Construction Cost Index decreased by 0.14% in the West Bank during April compared with March, while the Water Networks Index decreased by 0.29% and Water Reservoirs Cost Index increased by 0.21%.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) also decreased by 0.33% in the West Bank during April compared with March, said the PCBS.
