RAMALLAH, May 23, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is hot to very hot, dry and dusty with a drop in temperature but remains six degrees Celsius higher than the annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly to southwesterly, light to moderate, active at times, especially at evening hours. Sea waves are medium.
Temperature is expected to be in the low to mid-30s during the day on Wednesday in most of the West Bank and Gaza Strip with the exception of the Jordan Valley where temperature is expected to be in the upper 30s to 40 degrees Celsius. Temperature is expected to drop in the evening to the low to mid-20s.
Mainly clear, sunny and relatively warm conditions are expected to prevail on Thursday. Temperature is expected to drop and approach three degrees Celsius higher than the seasonal average.
Partially cloudy to clear, and warm conditions are expected for Friday and Saturday. Temperature is expected to slightly rise and become four degrees Celsius above the annual average.
PMD warns citizens against direct exposure to the sun for long periods, especially during peak hours between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and of the dangers of setting fire to dry grass.
