RAMALLAH, May 18, 2018 (WAFA) – Friday’s weather in abundantly sunny, very warm, dry and dusty in daytime and clear and warm in nighttime, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Temperatures are set to rise and approach 10 degrees Celsius (°C) above the seasonal average. Wind is southeasterly to northeasterly and moderate to active. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 26°C and in Ramallah a high of 33°C and a low of 25°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is set to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 30°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza.

Saturday’s weather is very warm, dry and dusty in daytime with clear and warm skies in nighttime accompanied with a further rise in temperatures which approach about 11 °C above the average.

PMD expects temperatures to drop and approach eight °C above the average on Sunday as weather conditions remain plentifully sunny, warm, dry and dusty in mountainous areas and very warm in the Jordan Valley.

Monday’s weather is sunny and warm in mountainous areas and very warm in the Jordan Valley accompanied by a further drop in temperatures which approach six °C above the average.

PMD warns people against direct sun exposure for long times, especially during peak hours between 11 AM and 4 PM and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
