RAMALLAH, May 17, 2018 (WAFA) – Thursday’s weather is sunny, very hot Khamasin conditions with a rise in temperature to approach eight degrees Celsius above the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is southeasterly to northeasterly, moderate to active and sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 33°C on Thursday and a low of 23°C and in Ramallah a high of 31°C and a low of 22°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 22°C in Gaza.
Very hot conditions are expected for Friday as temperature is reaches 10°C above the average.
Another rise in temperature is expected for Saturday to approach 11°C above the average.
However, a drop in temperature is expected for Sunday to become 8°C above average while conditions remain hot and dry
PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long times, especially during peak hours between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
