Weather: Clear skies, temperature to rise throughout the week

 

RAMALLAH, May 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is partially cloudy to clear, mild and moderate with a rise in temperature while remaining three degrees Celsius lower than its annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

A slight chance of light scattered rain shower in the morning hours is expected on some areas, especially in the north.

Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times and sea waves are low.

Weather at night is partially cloudy and relatively cold in the mountains and warm in other areas.

Temperature is expected to reach the low to mid 20s during the day on Monday in most of the West Bank and Gaza Strip and the upper 20s in the Jordan Valley, while it drops to the low teens at night in the central West Bank and upper teens in most of the other areas.

PMD also predicted weather on Tuesday to be clear and mild. Temperature is expected to rise to become around its annual average.

Wednesday’s weather is partially cloudy to clear and relatively warm to hot with another rise in temperature approaching three degrees Celsius above the annual average.

Weather on Thursday is hot to very hot and dry. Temperature is expected to significantly rise approaching seven degrees Celsius above the annual average.
