Israel closes Jerusalem roads, neighborhood for settlers’ marches

JERUSALEM, May 13, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli police Sunday announced that main streets and neighborhoods in the occupied city of Jerusalem will be closed to make way for marches at 3 PM.

The roads that are going to be closed are roads of Lion’s Gate, Damascus Gate and all roads leading to the New Gate, Dung Gate, among others.

Meanwhile, Israeli police detained a minor in al-Aqsa mosque as 1,042 Jewish extremist settlers broke into the holy Muslim mosque through the Dung Gate under heavy protection by Israeli police.

According to WAFA correspondent, the settlers performed Talmudic rituals as they went on provocative tours while chanting racist slogans.

He said that the situation is tense in the mosque and its vicinity and is likely to escalate.
