Weather forecast: Temperatures lower than seasonal average

 

RAMALLAH, May 9, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is partially cloudy and pleasant in daytime and relatively cold in nighttime with a rise in temperatures which approach three degrees Celsius (°C) lower than the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

A chance of scattered rain showers is expected, especially on northern areas. Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 15°C and in Ramallah a high of 21°C and a low of 14°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is set to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 21°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 19°C in Gaza.

The PMD also predicts weather on Thursday to be partially cloudy, relatively hot and dusty in daytime and mild in nighttime. Temperatures are set to significantly rise and approach five °C above the seasonal average with a chance of sporadic light rains in nighttime.

Friday’s weather is partially cloudy and pleasant in daytime, breezy in the afternoon and relatively cold in nighttime. Temperatures are set to significantly drop and approach the seasonal average, paving the way to increasing cloudiness and scattered showers after midnight.

Weather on Saturday is partially cloudy, breezy and relatively cold in daytime and relatively cold in nighttime. Temperatures are set to drop, becoming three °C lower than the seasonal average. A chance of scattered rain showers with occasional thunderstorms is expected on most areas in the morning.
