RAMALLAH, May 4, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Friday is warm to very warm, dry and dusty with a rise in temperatures which approach eight degrees Celsius (°C) above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Cloudiness is set to increase, paving the way to sporadic light rains in the afternoon with occasional thunderstorms. Wind is southeasterly to southwesterly, light to moderate and occasionally active in nighttime. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is set to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 22°C in Gaza.
Temperatures are set to significantly drop and approach the seasonal average on Saturday with partly cloudy to clear and pleasant conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in nighttime.
Sunday’s weather is mostly cloudy and warm in daytime and pleasant in nighttime as temperatures are set to rise and approach two °C above the seasonal average. There is a chance of sporadic rain showers with occasional thunderstorms and hail in the evening and night.
Temperatures are set to significantly drop and approach two °C below the seasonal average on Monday. Partly cloudy and pleasant conditions are expected for daytime, giving the way for relatively cold conditions in nighttime. There is a chance of sporadic rain showers, possibly torrential, with occasional thunderstorms and hail after midnight.
PMD warns citizens against direct exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly between 11 in the morning and four in the afternoon.
