RAMALLAH, May 3, 2018 (WAFA) - The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine increased by 4.81% in March compared to the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.

The increase in March IPI was due to the increase in the activities of Mining and Quarrying by 37.30%, which had a share of 4.06% of the total industry. Activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation increased by 21.60%, which had a share of 0.78% of the total industry, and the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 3.96% which had the share of 83.19% of the total industry.

Meanwhile, activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply decreased by 6.51% which had a share of 11.98% of the total industry.
