Israeli army injures six Palestinians near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, March 23, 2018 (WAFA) – At least six Palestinians were injured, four of them with live shots, during clashes on Friday with Israeli forces in the village of al-Mazra’a al-Gharbiya, to the northwest of Ramallah in the West Bank, according to local sources.

Israeli soldiers opened live fire and fired rubber-coated steel rounds at Palestinians who were protesting about Israel’s decision to confiscate large tracts of land near the village for opening a road connecting Israeli settlements in the area. At least four were injured by live shots and two others by rubber-coated rounds.

The injured were moved to Palestinian medical complex in Ramallah city for medical treatment.

During the clashes, the soldiers reportedly arrested an unidentified teenager who was among the protesters.
