GAZA, March 22, 2018 (WAFA) – Israel detained on Wednesday a Palestinian at Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing to the north of Gaza after he appeared for an interview to obtain a permit to leave Gaza for medical treatment, local sources said.
They said that Hasan Omar Samia, a resident of Gaza City, was detained when he appeared before Israeli intelligence upon their request to decide about giving him a permit to leave Gaza for medical treatment.
A French medical organization was helping Samia to get treatment outside Gaza.
The sources said Israel informed the family of Samia at night of his arrest.
Samia is the third Palestinian arrested at Beit Hanoun crossing in less than a week as they were trying to cross the border seeking either medical treatment outside Gaza or accompanying a person seeking treatment.
