JORDAN VALLEY, March 21, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli military exercises destroyed on Wednesday agricultural crops belonging to Palestinian farmers in the northern Jordan Valley area, said local sources.

Israeli military training in Um al-Jamal, in the northern Jordan Valley, destroyed crops planted on a 7-dunum plot of land in the area when Israeli tanks and armored vehicles drove over them.

Israeli army conducts military training in areas inhabited by Palestinians in the Jordan Valley area on regular bases, forcing many families to leave their homes for few days each time.

According to B’Tselem, the Israeli information center for human rights, said “The incessant military training in the Jordan Valley is part of a longstanding policy to drive Palestinian communities to leave, as though of their own free will.”

Palestinians living in these areas have to also worry about unexploded ordnance left behind by the Israeli army after the drills, which have led to the death of many Palestinians, including children.
