Weather: Significant drop in temperature, but remains above average

 

RAMALLAH, March 20, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Tuesday is partially cloudy to clear and mild with a significant drop in temperature while remaining five degrees Celsius above its annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate to active at times and sea waves are low to medium.

Weather becomes clear and relatively cold in the mountains at night and warm in other areas.

Temperature on Tuesday is expected to reach a high in the low to mid-20s in most of the West Bank and Gaza Strip while it reaches the upper 20s to low 30s in the Jordan Valley. Temperature drops at night to the low to mid-teens in most areas.

The PMD also predicted weather on Wednesday to be clear and relatively hot and dry. Temperature is expected to rise again approaching seven degrees Celsius above its annual average.

Thursday’s weather is hot, dry and dusty. Temperature is expected to rise to become 12 degrees Celsius above its annual average.

Weather on Friday remains the same but temperature is expected to rise approaching 14 degrees Celsius above its annual average.
