RAMALLAH, March 18, 2018 (WAFA) – Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudainah said all conspiracies and attempts of discrediting aimed at liquidizing the Palestinian cause will fail before the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and their adherence to their inalienable and legitimate rights recognized by the world community as a whole.

“Any suspicious political solution that does not meet the hopes and aspirations of our people for freedom and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital will not pass, be it a state with temporary borders, a mini-state in Gaza or any other suspicious projects,” he said in a press statement on Sunday.

He pointed out that the next political phase “requires a solid national steadfastness in the face of any regional interests that may be formed, and which he stressed will not lead to any results thanks to the Palestinian and Arab consciousness.”

“Jerusalem, being the eternal capital of the State of Palestine, is the basic prerequisite for the success of any peace plan, which he noted has always been proven throughout history. This places a heavy responsibility on us as Palestinians and Arabs to not allow any breach of national interests,” he remarked.

Jerusalem, the PLO constants, and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people will remain the key to success and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its eternal capital.
