LONDON, March 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Palestine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom Manuel Hassassian said, during a speech to the UK Parliament on Friday, that resolving the Palestinian issue is the key to addressing all the conflicts in the Middle East region.

Speaking during a session organized by the Labour Friends of Palestine in the UK Parliament, Hassassian said the Palestinians were trapped into a disastrous peace process that brought them nothing but more Israeli settlements.

He pointed out that after the United States lost its credibility as broker of the peace efforts, the Palestinians are now looking for a new approach to the peace process through international law and the UN Security Council.

Prior to this, Hassassian delivered a lecture at the University College London (UCL), where he spoke about the requirements for reviving the peace process in the Middle East, and the impact of a two-state or one-state solution on the future of peace.
