Weather: Temperature higher than annual average

 

RAMALLAH, January 9, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Tuesday is clear with temperature five degrees Celsius higher than the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly, light to moderate and sea waves are low.

Temperature on Tuesday in Jerusalem, Ramallah and the central West Bank is in the mid-teens during the day and drops to around 9 degrees Celsius at night. The northern West Bank, the Jordan Valley and the Gaza Strip, temperature is expected to reach a high of 20 degrees and a low of 15 degrees.

The PMD also predicts weather on Wednesday to be partially cloudy to clear with a slight rise in temperature to become six degrees Celsius higher than its annual average.

Thursday’s weather remains clear but temperature is expected to rise again approaching eight degrees Celsius higher than the annual average.

Partially cloudy to clear skies are expected to prevail on Friday. Temperature is expected to drop while remaining five degrees Celsius above the annual average.

The PMD warns citizens of low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog.
