RAMALLAH, October 17, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained 18 Palestinians in overnight raids across the occupied West Bank districts and East Jerusalem, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Tuesday.
Israeli army reportedly detained five Palestinians in Hebron area, three others from Bethlehem, three from Jenin, two from Nablus and one from Qalqilia.
Forces also arrested a Palestinian from Jalazoun refugee camp near Ramallah after he allegedly posted on his Facebook page plans to attack Israelis, according to Israeli police claims. The army conducted a wide-scale search for the Palestinian before arresting him.
Three others were detained in East Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, and in addition to the 18 detained overnight, soldiers detained on Tuesday four farmers from al-Ras al-Ahmar in the Jordan Valley and seized their vehicle, according to Mutaz Bisharat, an official with the governorate of Toubas.
He said the soldiers chased the farmers who were working in their land and arrested them.
Undercover soldiers also snatched on Tuesday an 18-year-old Palestinian from Jenin, in the north of the West Bank, after setting a trap for him on the Jenin-Tulkarm road, according to his family.
The soldiers also raided his family home, searched it and ransacked it. No reason was given for the trap and arrest.
