IOF renews order to seize lands in Qalqilya

QALQILYA, March 20, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued on Monday a military order to renew seizure of Palestinian-owned lands in the villages Jayyous and Falamya, in the governorate of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

Ghassan Harami, head of Jayyous municipality, told WAFA that farmers were surprised to find an order that renews seizure of land plots belonging to the two villages for military purposes. He noted that a similar such order was issued four years ago for the same land, which is estimated at 169 dunums in area.

Harami added that Israel aims to seize more Palestinian-owned lands that are located behind the Segregation Wall, under false security pretenses. He said that staff from the community council and the municipality and farmers from both villages will continue to challenge the this order both home and abroad until they restore the seized land.
