TULKARM, March 12, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities issued on Sunday a military order to confiscate some 142.2 dunums of Palestinian land in Sha’rawiya area, north of Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Sufyan Shadid, chairman of Sha’rawiya services council, told WAFA that local Palestinians were astonished to find the Israeli military order left near the Segregation Wall, which separates the West Bank from Israel.
Shadid said the military order target lands belonging to Palestinians from the village of Ellar, Baqa al-Sharqia, Nazlat Issa, Zaita, Qaffin, Baqa al-Gharbiya and Jit, which all form what is known as Sha’rawia local council. Most of these lands have already been confiscated de facto by Israel’s Segregation Wall, Shadid added.
He said that the Israeli authorities gave a notice of seven days to the owners of these lands to challenge the order.
